The Swatch Mission to Mercury is the MoonSwatch for anyone who wants the Speedmaster’s familiar silhouette without the collection’s brighter planetary colors. Its charcoal-gray Bioceramic case, black bezel and dark dial keep the mood restrained, while white hands and markers give the chronograph a crisp, readable face.

Part of the original eleven-model Omega × Swatch collaboration introduced in 2022, Mercury borrows the Moonwatch’s asymmetrical case profile, tachymeter bezel and stepped dial treatment—not its mechanical movement. The quartz chronograph’s subdial layout is different, but the visual connection is unmistakable. Look for the standard SO33A100; there’s no generational ladder to climb here.

The lightweight case is part of the pleasure, though it won’t feel like steel to someone accustomed to a Speedmaster. The crystal is particularly susceptible to scratches, and the supplied hook-and-loop strap has a distinctive, bulky fit. Its 20mm lug spacing makes a strap change straightforward if that fit doesn’t suit your wrist.
