The Omega Constellation 168.005 brings together two of the collection’s most recognizable details: sharply angled “dog-leg” lugs and, on the pie-pan version, a dial whose sloping outer facets catch the light like a cut edge. It is a small watch with considerable presence, thanks more to that geometry than to its diameter.

Introduced in the early 1960s, this reference houses Omega’s automatic chronometer caliber 561, with a date window that makes it an easy daily companion. Both pie-pan and domed-dial examples exist; choose the former for the sculptural dial, the latter for a quieter look. Pay particular attention to the lug edges: heavy polishing can soften the distinctive elbows. Dial originality also deserves care, since refinishing can blur the lettering and minute track. Around back, the observatory medallion supplies a small, satisfying reminder of the Constellation’s chronometer roots.
