The Tudor Fastrider takes its motorcycle connection seriously: the ceramic Black Shield looks more like riding equipment than a dress chronograph. Its matte-black case and sharply contrasting dial give it a character quite separate from Tudor’s dive watches, without sacrificing the familiar feel of a traditional automatic chronograph.

Tudor’s partnership with Ducati began in 2011; the Black Shield followed in 2013, taking the Fastrider in a darker direction. Look to 42000CN for red accents, or 42010N for the cleaner black-and-white treatment associated with Ducati’s XDiavel. Those dial details make a surprisingly large difference to the watch’s personality.

The ETA 7753 brings one ownership quirk worth knowing: the date is advanced through a separate corrector at nine o’clock, rather than through the crown. On the ceramic case, pay particular attention to the edges around the lugs and pushers for chips; matte ceramic resists scratches, but isn’t immune to impact.
