The Rolex GMT-Master 16750 pairs the acrylic-crystal character of an older GMT with a quickset date—a small convenience that makes a meaningful difference when setting it. It’s a particularly satisfying bridge between generations: familiar on the wrist, but less fiddly than its predecessor, the 1675.

The choice that most shapes its personality is the dial. Early examples have matte black dials with painted tritium plots; later ones use glossy dials with white-gold surrounds, giving the same watch a sharper, more polished expression. Both belong to this reference, so the matte-versus-gloss decision is about more than surface finish.

The 3075 adds quickset date adjustment, not an independently adjustable local-hour hand: this is still a GMT-Master, not a GMT-Master II. On an early example, establish whether the dial is original or a later service replacement; a glossy replacement can erase much of the character you wanted the early watch for.
