The Omega Seamaster 300 165.024 is the no-date, twisted-lug diver that gave the model its broad-shouldered 1960s look. Its appeal is in the contrast: a wide rotating bezel and emphatic luminous markers, framed by the sculpted casework familiar to anyone who loves an Omega Speedmaster.

Compared with the earlier, straight-lug 165.014, this reference feels fuller on the wrist; the date-equipped 166.024 offers a closely related alternative, but the uninterrupted dial is a good reason to choose the 165.024. Inside is Omega’s automatic caliber 552. Dial and hand configurations varied, so don’t treat one familiar arrangement as the only correct one. The important distinction is between period components and later replacements: service dials, hands and bezels can substantially change the watch’s character. These Seamasters are also frequently assembled from mixed parts, making the relationship between the case reference, movement and dial particularly worth establishing.
