The Tudor Black Bay Ceramic takes the familiar snowflake hands and dial layout somewhere darker, with a matte ceramic case and a movement worth turning the watch over to see. Introduced in 2021, it was also Tudor’s first METAS-certified Master Chronometer—a meaningful change beneath the all-black treatment, not just a new case material.

The original black-dial 79210CNU is the one to seek if you want the most restrained expression; the later Black Bay Ceramic Blue gives the dial more separation from its surroundings. Both retain the darker character of the ceramic model, including the visible, black-finished MT5602-1U. Its certification includes resistance to magnetic fields of 15,000 gauss. On a used example, pay particular attention to the ceramic around the lugs and case edges: it resists everyday scratches remarkably well, but a hard impact can leave chips that cannot simply be polished away.
