The Yacht-Master 116655 pairs Rolex’s Everose gold with a matte-black ceramic bezel and an Oysterflex strap—a warmer, quieter take on the brand’s sports watch formula. The bezel’s polished, raised numerals catch the light against that dark background, giving the watch texture without adding another color. Introduced in 2015, it was also the first Rolex to wear Oysterflex: not simply a rubber strap, but an elastomer covering around flexible metal blades, with cushioning fins underneath.

This is the original 40mm Everose-and-Oysterflex generation, powered by the familiar 3135. Its successor, the 126655, brought the 3235 and a Glidelock clasp in 2019; that clasp’s finer adjustment is worth considering if fit is your deciding factor. On the 116655, pay particular attention to the Oysterflex section lengths.
