The Daytona 126515LN pairs Everose gold with a black ceramic bezel and Oysterflex, giving Rolex’s racing chronograph a warmer, less formal character than its bracelet-equipped siblings. The contrast is the point: polished gold catches the light, while the dark bezel and elastomer bracelet keep it from becoming an uninterrupted expanse of precious metal.

Introduced in 2023, it replaced the 116515LN with a revised dial layout, slimmer hour markers and an Everose rim around the ceramic bezel. Inside, caliber 4131 adds Rolex’s Chronergy escapement; the choice between generations is as much about those visible refinements as the movement update.

Pay particular attention to the Oysterflex fit. Its flexible metal blades sit beneath the elastomer, so it isn’t simply a rubber strap you can trim. The clasp’s Glidelock adjustment helps fine-tune the fit, but the two bracelet sections still need to suit your wrist.

What owners love

  • The Oysterflex strap makes the Everose gold case surprisingly comfortable to wear: its underside cushions help keep the strap from sitting flat against your skin. The Glidelock adjustment is especially welcome when your wrist expands during the day.
  • The black ceramic bezel and black strap break up the rose gold nicely. You still get the warmth and weight of a gold Daytona, but it feels less dressed-up than the full-bracelet version.

Common Criticisms

  • The screw-down chronograph pushers are fiddly if you actually use the stopwatch regularly. You have to unscrew them before timing something, rather than simply pressing a button.
