De Ville Prestige

The Omega De Ville Prestige is the quieter side of the catalog: rounded cases, restrained dials, and dress-watch proportions rather than the equipment-first character of a Seamaster or Speedmaster. Across its many sizes and generations, alternating Roman numerals and cabochon-style hour markers are a familiar signature, though not every Prestige follows that formula.

Introduced in 1994, the family has accommodated both quartz and mechanical movements, with different dial layouts and degrees of decoration. The De Ville Prestige Co-Axial includes automatic models powered by caliber 2500, an important distinction from the battery-powered De Ville Prestige Quartz. Date windows, small seconds, and power-reserve displays appear across the broader range; “Prestige” alone doesn’t identify the movement or complication.

The third generation, introduced in 2022, brought slimmer case profiles and Master Chronometer certification to its mechanical models. The De Ville Prestige Master Chronometer therefore marks a technical step beyond earlier Co-Axial versions, not simply another dial treatment. At the more decorative end, the De Ville Prestige Quartz Diamond Bezel and De Ville Prestige Butterfly take the same dress-watch foundation in distinctly different directions.
