The Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Automatic takes the twin-crown silhouette of the 1968 Memovox Polaris and strips it back to a clean, no-date sports watch. Its charm is in the dial: a sunray center, grained hour track, and rotating inner bezel give you three distinct textures without crowding the display.

Introduced in 2018, this is the straightforward member of the modern Polaris family—not an alarm watch, despite the resemblance to its ancestor. The blue dial makes those contrasting finishes particularly noticeable as the light changes; black keeps the look quieter. Both let the large numerals and luminous markers do their work.

When choosing one, pay attention to the upper crown’s operation of the inner bezel: it should turn smoothly and predictably. The 21mm lug width also matters if you enjoy changing straps; your usual 20mm options won’t be a proper fit.
