The Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin family takes the dress watch in two directions: spare, hand-wound watches that make thinness the main event, and automatic models that fit useful complications beneath an equally restrained dial. The shared language is a round case, slender hands and understated markers, but the name spans different diameters, movements and dial layouts—not one watch with a changing face.

Earlier two-hand models built around the hand-wound caliber 849 are the purist end of the family, with compact proportions and little to interrupt the dial. Both 34mm and 38mm versions belong to that story. Later automatic generations broadened the range, making winding method and display layout more useful distinctions than the family name alone.

The Master Ultra Thin Moon combines its moon-phase display with a pointer date, while the Master Ultra Thin Date uses a date window. The Master Ultra Thin Small Seconds gives the seconds their own subdial; the Master Ultra Thin Reserve De Marche adds a power-reserve indication. The Master Ultra Thin Perpetual and Master Ultra Thin Tourbillon take the same restrained vocabulary into more complex watchmaking.
