The Citizen Tsuyosa Small Second keeps the original Tsuyosa’s easygoing, integrated-bracelet character, but gives the dial more room to breathe. A textured surface and small-seconds register at six replace the familiar date-and-magnifier arrangement, making this feel like a distinct design rather than simply another dial option.
Look for the NK5010 reference family if that cleaner layout is what draws you in. Its automatic 8322 also brings a longer, 60-hour power reserve than the original Tsuyosa’s movement—a useful improvement beyond the visible changes. The steel bracelet remains central to the experience: its rounded links soften the angular case and give the watch a surprisingly relaxed feel. One detail worth trying for yourself is the recessed crown near four o’clock. It keeps the silhouette tidy, but getting a grip on it can take a little practice.
