The Timex Marlin name links mid-century everyday watches with a modern family that ranges from compact hand-wound models to automatics and quartz complications. Domed crystals and vintage-minded dial details connect much of the modern range, but “Marlin” alone tells you neither the movement inside nor the proportions on the wrist.

The 2017 revival began with the Marlin Hand-Wound, a 34mm watch whose silver dial and distinctive numerals closely recalled a 1960s original. Its modest dimensions are part of the experience, not merely a specification. The Marlin Automatic brought a larger, commonly 40mm format and self-winding movement; the Marlin Jet Automatic takes a different visual route, with a broad domed crystal that gives the case a notably rounded profile.

The name now also encompasses the Marlin Chronograph, Marlin Moon Phase, Marlin Draper, and Marlin Quartz GMT. Those distinctions matter: a quartz chronograph belongs to a different branch from the simple mechanical revival. Earlier vintage Marlins form another chapter, with their own dial designs and case dimensions rather than the standardized look of a single modern reference.

$99 – $225 spread of reference medians

Each price is the median ask from one reference's own listings, and a reference needs at least five to get one. Listings that don't name a reference are left out, and nothing is blended into a family price.
