The Omega Seamaster Nekton Edition gives the Diver 300M a more muted face: a matte black ceramic wave dial and a titanium bezel with a raised diving scale, rather than the familiar glossy ceramic insert. The red seconds hand cuts through that restrained palette, keeping a little of the standard Seamaster’s exuberance.

Introduced in 2020 to support Nekton’s ocean-research work, this edition changes the texture more than the formula. It retains the helium valve and scalloped bezel, but replaces the display back with a solid back bearing a submersible medallion; the 8800 remains inside.

The choice is between 210.32.42.20.01.002 on black rubber and 210.30.42.20.01.002 on the steel bracelet. Rubber suits the quieter, equipment-like look; the bracelet brings back some familiar Seamaster shine. Pay particular attention to the titanium bezel’s raised numerals and markers: their exposed surfaces are worth examining for knocks.
