The Nomos Worldtimer puts an unusually clear face on a complicated job: a city ring, a jumping local-hour hand, and a separate home-time display keep travel time legible without crowding the dial. In its familiar Zürich Worldtimer form, the restrained typography meets a sculpted case with more presence than the brand’s simpler dress watches.

Despite the name, it doesn’t display every time zone simultaneously; the pusher advances the selected city and local hour together, while home time stays put. Earlier Zürich examples use the Xi caliber; later ones carry DUW 5201, with Nomos’s own Swing System escapement—a meaningful distinction for anyone drawn to the manufacture’s technical development. On a watch you’re considering, pay particular attention to that city-change mechanism: each press should advance the ring and hour hand cleanly together.
