The Nomos Orion is the softer-spoken sibling of the Tangente: a rounded case, long tapered lugs, and slender baton markers in place of numerals. Across its sizes and generations, the family keeps that gently domed profile and unusually open dial, with small seconds giving the spare design a point of movement.

The familiar hand-wound versions use the Alpha caliber, and the classic silvered dial pairs gold-colored markers with blued hands. The Orion 33, original 35 mm Orion, and Orion 38 share the basic vocabulary but wear differently: those projecting lugs make diameter alone an incomplete guide to their presence on the wrist. Other dial treatments change the mood without changing the architecture.

The Orion Datum adds a date at six, while the Orion Neomatik branch brings automatic winding through the slim DUW 3001. Larger automatic date versions use the DUW 6101. These are distinct branches rather than successive replacements: a hand-wound Orion and a later automatic can look closely related while offering quite different daily rituals.
