For sale today is a bit of a project for someone with better tools than I have access to… I recently picked up this 36mm Benrus quartz field watch, a collaboration with Japanese fashion brand Beauty & Youth. Seems to be a fairly rare JDM model that’s a reissue of the popular Benrus DTU-2A/P military watch. When I bought it, there was some dust under the dial so I snapped the caseback off to remove that dust, but little did I know this is the most stubborn caseback I’ve ever encountered! I’ve tried many times to get it back on but it simply won’t go. CONDITION: There’s some scratches on the acrylic crystal, but nothing too major. Should be able to buff out with some Polywatch. Caseback has some scratches/dings from removing the caseback. And obviously, the caseback is having some issues getting snapped back on, but shouldn’t be a problem for a watchmaker to do or someone with a good watch press tool.
