Hi all! For sale is a Tudor Mini-Sub ref. 94400 with serial number 128XXX that dates it to 1984. And for a nearly 40-year-old watch, it’s a stunner. The case measures 33mm across and 39mm lug-to-lug. It’s obviously small for a diver but wears bigger than you might think, my wrist is between 6.25” and 6.5” for reference. I’ve included several wrist shots in the photo link, including one showing it next to my 36mm Omega Seamaster. The watch is on what I believe is the original bracelet: a 7837 folded-link oyster bracelet with 369 end links. Bracelet has a decent amount of stretch and is quite jangly in that charming vintage Rolex way. Speaking of Rolex, this Tudor has three Rolex signatures: one on the crown, one on the caseback, and on on the clasp. The clasp is actually dual-signed, with the Tudor shield on the outside and the Rolex stamps on the inside. The bracelet might fit up to a 7” wrist, but I’ll say 6.75” to be safe. The watch is powered by an ETA cal 2671 which features hacking, hand winding, and a quick set date. The watch was serviced by the previous owner, but I have no record proving that. However, I don’t doubt it as it’s currently running about 5 seconds slow per day. Watch was originally water resistant to 200m, but I don’t know if its recent service included new gaskets/pressure testing. Crystal is acrylic and features a cyclops. Bezel is either acrylic or Bakelite (I can’t get a clear answer, but it’s some kind of plastic) and does show some scratching, particularly around the 45 mark. The tritium triangle on the bezel also shows some wear. Bezel is friction-fit and bidirectional. Works as it should. I don’t believe everything on the watch is original. The hands are almost certainly service hands — their lume still works, whereas the puffy tritium lume on the dial has patinaed and no longer glows. It’s also possible the dial was retouched at some point in the watch’s life, but I can’t say for sure. Finally, I believe the bracelet was polished, as the clasp shows no scratches and the shield logo is pretty worn down. I’m taking this into account and pricing the watch at $2,400 OBO shipped to conus (no trades) — considerably less than this [nearly identical listing](https://wannabuyawatch.com/product/tudor-prince-oyster-date-mini-sub-ref-94400-circa-1984/) from a dealer.
