The Christopher Ward Trident Pro is a British-designed, Swiss-made diver with a telltale flourish: the trident counterweight on its seconds hand. Its following owes plenty to the less decorative details, too—legible dials, assured bezel action, and bracelets whose clasp adjustment makes a difference as your wrist changes through the day.

Generation matters here. Earlier Tridents have wave-pattern dials and a more rounded case profile; the third-generation C60 Trident Pro 600, introduced in 2019, brought sharper case finishing and a cleaner dial. The later C60 Trident Pro 300 trades some depth rating for a slimmer case, making it the one to consider if cuff clearance matters more than maximum water resistance. Branding also changed considerably over the model’s life, from written logos to the twin-flags emblem. Decide which dial treatment you enjoy: it changes the character of a watch you’ll look at constantly.

What owners love

  • The bezel is a frequent highlight: owners like its positive clicks and how easily they can grip and turn it without it feeling loose.
  • The trident counterweight on the seconds hand is a small detail owners get attached to. It gives the watch a recognizable character without making the dial busy.

Common Criticisms

  • The branding is divisive, particularly on versions with the Christopher Ward name at nine o’clock. Some owners find that placement unbalanced and prefer the other dial layouts used over the model’s history.
  • Owners of the older 600-metre versions sometimes find the case too thick, especially under a shirt cuff. That complaint shouldn’t be carried over to the slimmer Pro 300.
