The Christopher Ward C1 Moonglow makes the moonphase the main event, rather than a small complication tucked beneath the hands. Two luminous moons travel across the dial, with smoked sapphire veiling the lower portion: you can still make out the second moon waiting its turn.

That layered construction is what makes this watch worth spending time with, even in daylight. In darkness, the luminous moons give it a character quite unlike a conventional dress-watch moonphase. Christopher Ward’s JJ04 moonphase module drives the display continuously rather than advancing it in daily jumps, so the theatrical dial has some mechanical substance behind it.

Earlier wordmark dials and later twin-flags versions offer noticeably different faces; choose according to how much branding you want alongside the moons. On any example, establish that the moonphase can be set correctly and that its adjustment works as intended.
