The Casio Gravitymaster takes G-Shock’s appetite for punishment into the cockpit, with bold analog displays and controls designed around practical use. Enthusiasts love the combination: a watch with the presence of an oversized pilot’s instrument, but none of the delicacy that often comes with one.

The reference matters here because Gravitymaster covers several quite different watches. The solar-powered GW-A1100 pairs radio-controlled timekeeping with a digital compass; the GPW-1000 adds GPS time reception, while the later GPW-2000 combines GPS, radio reception, and Bluetooth connectivity. Those GPS models are substantial even by G-Shock standards, so their footprint deserves as much consideration as their technology. The GR-B200 takes another route, offering a useful suite of sensors but running on a replaceable battery rather than solar power. On solar references, check that the watch holds a charge and that the hands agree with the displayed time: synchronized timekeeping is only useful when the display follows it.
