Blancpain’s Villeret is a broad family of dress watches, tied together less by dimensions or movement than by a recurring vocabulary: double-stepped bezels, Roman numerals, and slender leaf-shaped hands. Named for the Swiss village where Blancpain began, it spans restrained two-hand watches and elaborate calendars, with the complications generally arranged to preserve a composed, readable dial.

The Villeret Ultraplate puts slimness first, while the Villeret Grande Date gives the date a more prominent display. The Villeret Quantieme Complet Gold belongs to the complete-calendar branch, pairing day, date, and month indications with a moon phase. On many complete-calendar versions, a serpentine hand points to the date around the dial’s perimeter—a useful visual distinction from the straight hands telling the time.

Generations matter here. Earlier examples often have smaller cases and more compact dial layouts; later models include larger formats and movements with longer power reserves. Some modern calendar references also use Blancpain’s patented correctors beneath the lugs, replacing the traditional recessed pushers on the case flank. Neither feature is universal across the family.
