Up for sale is the NOMOS Tangente Neomatik Update in excellent pre-owned condition. No issues with the watch. Everything works as it should. With Reference 180, NOMOS has updated it's classic Tangente watch by placing the date ring far out around the edge of the dial, featuring two red dots that frame the current date. This innovative date display feature is possible with the help of in-house manufactured caliber DUW 6101. The cal. DUW 6101 is not only very large—at only 3.6 millimeters in height, it is also extremely thin. The date can be set quickly and easily in both directions, with only a few turns of the crown needed for any adjustment. The NOMOS swing system, in particular, ensures the high precision of the movement. This proprietary escapement, denoted by its tempered blue balance spring, is accompanied by several watchmaking characteristics typical for Glashütte timepieces—such as the three-quarter plate, ribbing polish, tempered screws. NOMOS Glashütte is a German watchmaking company based in Glashütte, Saxony, which specializes in manual-winding and automatic mechanical watches. It was founded in January 1990, two months after the fall of the Berlin Wall, by Roland Schwertner. The designs for the first collection were drawn up by Susanne Günther, drawing influence from the Bauhaus purist style. NOMOS's designs have been widely praised for their clean and modernist aesthetic. In its early years, the company focused on manufacturing mechanical watches with hand-wound movements. The basis for the movement was, until 2005, the Swiss-made ETA SA / Peseux 7001. Annual production is approximately 20,000 pieces.

Since 2005, NOMOS Glashütte has only used in-house movements. Beginning with α (Alpha), a manual winding caliber, the range has since been expanded to include a range of other manual winding movements with additional functions. The first automatic NOMOS watch, the Tangomat, was first introduced in the summer of 2005. NOMOS Glashütte has gradually expanded its range of watches to include new models and sizes, such as Ahoi and Metro.
