Hello, watchexchange! Up for sale today is my Doxa Sub 200 in Divingstar Yellow. Purchased new from Mayors in May 2023, it still has one year of manufacturer’s warranty. Comes with cool Doxa case, lanyard, instruction book, and stamped warranty card. No cardboard box, I threw it out. Asking $725. PayPal G&S only for established exchangers. 3.5% fee and insured shipping included in price. CONUS only. Not interested in trades, BUT for this one would consider trading only for a Sub 200 in similar condition in either Aquamarine or Orange. Sorry, not interested in other colors or watches. This watch needs no introduction - a modern classic diver in a bright and cheerful yellow. Very comfortable on the wrist, the case has a nice medium weight to it, but it is not top-heavy at all. The Doxa rubber strap is really substantial compared to a regular tropic, and very comfortable. The bezel has a very nice clicky, precise action and the domed sapphire looks great with the matte dial. You really couldn’t find a better watch for summer days at the beach and watersports. I’m moving this one on as I simply don’t wear it very often. Worn a few times last spring and summer, and has been sitting in my safe since. Has some very minor micro scratches on the caseback, no visible scratches on the case or lugs. Thanks for looking! Doxa, founded in 1889 by Georges Ducommun, began as a maker of dress watches and other timepieces. Over the years, Doxa gained in size and branched out into other timekeeping markets. (Wristwatches, Armbanduhren, Montres-bracelets; Brunner, Gisbert L; Pfeiffer-Belli, Christian; Koneman, 2006)

In the late 1960s Doxa decided to devote resources to create a watch to be used for diving. Tests indicated that an orange face was more visible in murky water. Doxa also consulted with divers, including Jacques Cousteau, then chairman of "U.S. Divers," and Claude Wesly (a Cousteau companion and the first man to spend seven days thirty-three feet underwater). A staff of engineers and professional divers was assembled to create a watch with the required features. The Sub300t was purchased in quantity by U.S. Divers, who resold the watch in the United States.

The Jenny family of Switzerland now owns the brand. Since August 2002, Doxa has introduced re-editions of its watches and timepieces in limited quantities. Many are reproductions of the original models in design and construction, and all use Swiss movements.
