Here for sale is my Rolex Submariner 14060. From Hodinkee: A main contributor to the Submariner's fanfare over the decades is how relatively unchanged the model has been throughout the production run. It's maintained its core design ethos: black bezel, black dial, large markers, and the iconic Oyster bracelet. Any evolution has been subtle, with Rolex determined to keep to the core of the style it pioneered, which has since become the primary influence for the entire dive watch genre. Following the 1980s ref. 5513, the ref. 14060 at its debut marked the next generation of the iconic no-date Submariner and is importantly considered one of the first modern Rolex Submariner references, breaking with the previous four-digit vintage era. Featuring Rolex's latest case design and an upgraded water resistance to 300 meters (up from 200 meters), the 40mm by 12mm diver once again showcased why the Crown has long led the market in terms of pairing iconic design with gradual technological improvements. On the dial, a highly-legible dial produced in Rolex's distinct non-date diver configuration is showcased, complete with large applied hour markers, a Mercedes handset filled with lume material, and a deep black dial contrasting to it all. This one is in very-good-plus used condition. All functions work perfectly and it is keeping excellent time. Dial and hands are flawless and the bezel insert is in phenomenal shape for a watch of this age. The lume is the star of the show here with a light cream patina It appears to have been professionally polished previously with slight traces of original beveling. There is a small ding on the crown.
