An ultra rare Movado Kingmatic S watch in great condition. White satin linen brush finished sunburst dial with a perfect proportion date window. Robust sharp long lugs elegant case. Comes with a period correct BOR (Beads of Rice) bracelet. Goes well with the watch. Creative design on the piece, makes it a conversation piece. In an era of inflated prices of modern sports watches, this is a bargain.

Classic dress watch piece. The build quality is very high end overall. Movado signed crown. Movement has been serviced. Great time keeping. Such pieces should be appreciated upfront to experience at full measure, Pictures don't do justice to this beauty. Great collectible. Movado was renowned to produce watches such as this, simple time only minimalistic clean dial watches yet sophisticated and complex movements. It is a design language that goes through centuries and yet appreciated. During 60's movado was considered one of the greatest watchmakers. From its introduction, the Movado Kingmatic has stood as an icon of midcentury design and symbol of our dedication to quality. Movado added little touches to the design of the movement, such as lightweight cut out rotor blades based upon their logo. On the case back with a Kingmatic medallion in the center. Symbolising Helios riding a four-horse chariot bringing out the sun each morning, also known as the “Sun Chariot”.

The company markets the Museum Watch, designed by the American designer Nathan George Horwitt in 1947. It was first manufactured by Vacheron & Constantin-Le Coultre Watches, Inc., Switzerland. Movado started producing an unauthorized version starting in 1948, copying Horwitt's design. It was added to the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in 1960. Movado finally settled with Horwitt in 1975 with a payment of $29,000 ($128,000 in 2015 dollars). Following Horwitt's death, Movado started heavy promotion of Horwitt and the design of the Museum Watch. Photographer Edward Steichen called Horwitt's design "the only truly original and beautiful one for such an object".

Some Movado watch models have Esperanto names such as Bela ("beautiful"), Belamodo ("beautiful fashion"), Fiero ("pride"), Brila ("brilliant"), Linio ("line"), and Verto. The company's name means "movement" in that language.

In November 2015, Movado announced the release of the Movado Motion collection of fine Swiss made watches, powered by the Manufacture Modules Technologies (MMT) MotionX technology platform. The collection includes the women’s Bellina and the men’s Museum Sport models.
