This watch showcases Rolex's unparalleled craftsmanship, with one of the more robust movements Rolex has made, and further is given character by its genuine aging process falling in between the transitional phase where Rolex was testing its dial variations. The wear gives it exceptional character in my eyes, and the even and distinctive spider dial of this watch marks it as a truly rare watch. This 16800 tells has been frequently worn and loved, with a single owner before myself. The slight patina on the indices, the lume on the seconds hand having fallen off due to age, and the original bezel bearing signs of wear all show that this can be the ultimate tool watch. The date wheel, with unique red marks between the dates 11 and 14, adds another layer of intrigue in my eyes. The crown does not screw down entirely most of the time currently, which I suspect may by a cleaning issue. The watch functions and currently gives a 3-4 minutes of loss per day from my observation.
