This is a really special piece. A rare Constellation Calendar in great condition. The watch was serviced this past month by my local watchmaker. Here’s some details… Reference 2943, manufactured in 1960… dons a caliber 504 movement (astonishing condition). It comes with its original papers, and its original two tone beads of rice bracelet. NOTE: the bracelet has some issues. For one, it doesn’t have end links. Need to source those. And the clasp has an issue with the lug holes. The watch can be sold with or without the bracelet. It also comes with its original constellation calendar cloth. Great condition. Lastly, it comes with the outer top of its omega box… that’s what it has sat in all this time. It does not have the bottom of the box. The crown was an add by me. It had a service crown on it. Let me know of questions. Asking $1,600 full package, $1,450 excluding bracelet. Can ship overseas. Founded at La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland in 1848 by 23-year-old Louis Brandt who assembled key-wound precision pocket watches from parts supplied by local craftsmen. He travelled throughout Europe selling his watches from Italy to Scandinavia by way of England, his chief market. After Louis Brandt's death in 1879, his two sons Louis-Paul and Cesar, troubled by irregular deliveries of questionable quality, abandoned the unsatisfactory assembly workshop system in favour of in-house manufacturing and total production control. Due to the greater supply of manpower, communications and energy in Bienne, the enterprise moved into a small factory in January 1880, then bought the entire building in December. Two years later the company moved into a converted spinning-factory in the Gurzelen district of Bienne, where headquarters are still situated today. Their first series-produced calibres, Labrador and Gurzelen, as well as, the famous Omega calibre of 1894, would ensure the brand's marketing success.
