Up for sale is a highly sought-after Panerai Luminor Marina PAM004 Pre-A, a rare and iconic piece from the early days of Panerai’s reintroduction to the market in the late 1990s.

🔹 Strap: Includes the original Panerai leather straps with buckles, retained for completeness of the set. Please note that due to their worn condition, the straps are no longer suitable for regular wear.

🔹 Condition: Excellent vintage condition, well-preserved case and crystal with two small micro scartches that are hard to capture in the photos, fully functional movement

📌 Why it’s special: The PAM004 Pre-A models are part of Panerai’s earliest reissues and feature the transitional “Pre-Vendôme” design cues. These were made before the official Richemont acquisition and are considered true collector’s items due to their historical importance and limited production (e.g., Coro s.r.l. case set which was used for the Pre-V production of ref. such as 5218-209 and 5218-210).

Key features of OP6500 preA Panerai models:

• Thick, matte PVD coating with a slight purple hue—very resistant to scratches.

• Robust crown guard (CG) with an uncoated (silver) CG pin.

• Tritium dial with bold markers and T-SWISS-T marking below 6 o’clock.

• Tritium hands, consistent with preV parts.

• Aesthetically, the PAM004 is closest to the 5218-203/A, a highly sought-after and much more expensive model.
