For sale is my SKZ255K Frankenmonster. Sole owner, bought in 2010. Worn for about 9 months, then put it in a drawer where it has stayed for over 13 years.

The good:

The lume is still completely insane; even today, it's probably still the craziest lume I've experienced in my life.
The physical condition of the watch is extremely good, with almost no scratches anywhere - only two very small scratches on the bracelet, which I've tried to focus on in a couple of the photos; and two very thin fine scratches on the caseback.
Original inner and outer boxes, pillow, foam square, manuals and warranty card.

The bad:

The bezel is now very, very, very difficult to turn. The actual turning action is still perfectly smooth - there is absolutely no grainy, sand-particle or scraping feeling whatsoever, and the clicks are smooth and function perfectly - you just need to be the Hulk to turn it.
No extra bracelet links - I can't find them Currently sized for a 6.75" wrist, but you have one extra hole left on the clasp, as well as the divers' extension.

My current estimate (I won't wear it long enough to fully wind it) is that it's running at around +13 sec/day. Back in 2010 it was around +8.

The company was founded in 1881, when Kintarō Hattori opened a watch and jewelry shop called "K. Hattori" (服部時計店 Hattori Tokeiten?) in the Ginza area of Tokyo, Japan. Eleven years later, in 1892, he began to produce clocks under the name Seikosha (精工舎 Seikōsha?), meaning roughly "House of Exquisite Workmanship". According to Seiko's official company history, titled "A Journey In Time: The Remarkable Story of Seiko" (2003), Seiko is a Japanese word meaning "exquisite" or "success" ("exquisite" is usually written 精巧 from Chinese jīngqiǎo, while the meaning "success" is usually written 成功 from Chinese chénggōng).

Seiko is perhaps best known for its wristwatches, all of which were at one time produced entirely in-house. This includes not only major items such as microgears, motors, hands, crystal oscillators, batteries, sensors, LCDs but also minor items such as the oils used in lubricating the watches and the luminous compounds used on the hands and the dials.
