Up for sale is a rare Cartier Ceinture, reference 78100, dating from the 1970s in solid 18k gold. With its stepped case, the Ceinture presents an interesting alternative to the standard Cartier shapes. This watch features a coveted white enamal "Paris" dial, with the Paris designatation similarly engraved on the gold case back. It contains a manual wind Cartier 78-1 movement, which is currently running at +/- 14 spd. The watch measures in at 25mm x 25mm. Unlike many of its contemporaries, this watch does not feature a crown with a blue sapphaire cabachon, but rather contains a "protected" crown integrated into the case. This watch comes with a Cartier strap and a solid gold Cartier buckle. Additionally, Veblenist is in the process of making a custom strap for it, which I will also include with the sale once received.
