For sale is my first ever Vortic watch, powered by a spectacular Illinois movement from 1918. The movement is a two-tone design, and it is gorgeous! Vortic's open back design allows you to see the intricate details. Movement details here - https://pocketwatchdatabase.com/search/result/illinois/3303163 This is one of Vortic's early designs, with a 3D printed titanium case (Direct laser metal sintering tech, insanely cool - https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0030399221004540). The movement is size 16s, which translates to a case size of 49mm. Beefy watch - I have a 7 1/2" wrist, and I can wear this with no issues. The case is gray titanium, the crown is copper, and the band is nicely softened up Navy Horween - almost black. The start of the watch is the enamel dial, with a full Montgomery dial (https://blog.pocketwatchdatabase.com/2019/10/24/introduction-of-henry-s-montgomerys-safety-numerical-watch-dial/). This is not something you usually see on regular 16S watches - these usually came on lever-set, railroad models. The dial is bright white, double-sunk enamel, in great shape, with a tiny bit of damage between the 5 o'clock and the seconds sub-dial, which gives it a ton of character. I don't really want to sell this watch... I traveled with it to Cuba, to Italy, to Serbia, all over the USA, but I am trying to raise funds for our wedding anniversary.
