For Sale: Seiko SKX009J1 - $295 USD shipped (CONUS only) Payment - Paypal F&F or G&S (+ fee) Hello /watchexchange First time looking to sell here. Need to make some room in the watch box, plus I have SKX007, so I really don’t need two SKX’s. The watch is in great shape. Purchased back in April 2020 from Long Island Watch. Worn on many hikes and summer adventures but still looks hardly used. Small scratch near the end of the lug on the bottom left side when looking at it face on – can be seen in photo 3. Other than that, the watch is immaculate. No scratches or marks on the crystal or bezel. I love all my watches and really try and take great care of them. What it comes with: \- Original box and manual \- Original rubber dive strap \- Barton Elite Silicone strap (length – short) with Quick Release \- Barton Brown Leather strap (length – short) with Quick Release \- Barton olive green NATO strap \- SKX Strap Code Oyster style bracelet with curved end links + 4 extra links. The bracelet is well used but re brushed with a scotch pad to remove most scratches. Not looking to trade – again I’m trying to make room in the watch box. The company was founded in 1881, when Kintarō Hattori opened a watch and jewelry shop called "K. Hattori" (服部時計店 Hattori Tokeiten?) in the Ginza area of Tokyo, Japan. Eleven years later, in 1892, he began to produce clocks under the name Seikosha (精工舎 Seikōsha?), meaning roughly "House of Exquisite Workmanship". According to Seiko's official company history, titled "A Journey In Time: The Remarkable Story of Seiko" (2003), Seiko is a Japanese word meaning "exquisite" or "success" ("exquisite" is usually written 精巧 from Chinese jīngqiǎo, while the meaning "success" is usually written 成功 from Chinese chénggōng).

Seiko is perhaps best known for its wristwatches, all of which were at one time produced entirely in-house. This includes not only major items such as microgears, motors, hands, crystal oscillators, batteries, sensors, LCDs but also minor items such as the oils used in lubricating the watches and the luminous compounds used on the hands and the dials.
