Hello all. I hope this finds you well. I have an excellent example 7549-7000 that John Sach of Sach’s Vintage Watch aka Vette Enthusiast here, did a full restoration. John documented the repair of this special watch. I can direct anyone interested to that great write up.

I bought it from the owner that had it serviced. I also know this owner as well. It’s a wonderful piece, crown works wonderfully and time keeping is just amazing. Since I bought it, it’s keeping spot on time with NIST. Just incredible. I had it pressure treated to 250m and it passed and I have the ticket that show this.

It comes with several Seiko rubber straps and has the original gold plated titanium buckle.

The only thing to mention is the bezel is tight. It will turn with positive clicks, but just tight. John replaced ever gasket using NOS gaskets. The bezel gasket is the designed for this piece, so really just needs to be worked in, if you will. I spoke to John directly about this. John did a full service on my ‘Aussie’ Pogue and could not have been happier with the outcome. Only other item is a very small chip on the shroud by the 12 o’clock side. Actually I did not even notice for a couple weeks after purchased. Someone touch it up at some point. I have owned another 7549-7000 many years ago and this one is incredible. Under a loupe, the chip is a surface layer chip since the body of the texture of the shroud remains

I have an opportunity to buy back a Seiko piece I sold and regretted…so really the only reason for this sale.

I can provide more details to anyone interested and more pics as well.

Image above of small surface chip. Texture remains , so minor. This is at the 11 0’clock screw position.

The price of this watch is an outlier for this particular model and not included in the distribution. It may be miscategorized, incorrectly priced, or extremely unique.
