Up for sale is an absolutely stunning vintage watch from my collection. It wasn't getting nearly the wrist time it deserves, so I'm hoping to find it a new home. Lots of character, and a rare piece to geek out about when someone asks you about your watch. 1966 King Seiko 44-9990 (44KS) w/ rare shield medallion. This is one of the first Tanaka-designed King Seikos and this early example has the hacking lever and it works! Just had it serviced in Los Angeles and it's keeping very accurate time. Manual Winding, 25 jewels Original Dial, with a nick at 5 o'clock and some patina near 12 o'clock. It's still one of the best examples of this reference I've seen. Unpolished case. Sharp edges. Really something special here. Original signed crown. Original shield medallion - more rare than the KS medallion versions.
