This version’s dial is inspired by the 62MAS and the glossy enamel bezel is the same style as that on the Marinemaster 300, making this watch a winning combination. The Sumo’s dimensions look scary as hell on paper, but the watch wears more like a 42mm than its 45mm case flares would suggest. The 12.5mm thickness and the 20mm lug width also helps to reduce the watch’s footprint on the wrist. This watch also still has the classic signed crown, which Seiko seems to have all but entirely phased out for some reason. The watch was produced in a series of 2000 pieces and represents a unique part of Seiko’s history. This one comes as a full set with the UncleSeiko Beads of Rice bracelet, which I believe suits the watch tremendously and is leagues better than the original.
