Up for sale is a 50s Eterna-Matic Chronometer, a beautiful watch with fancy lugs, sharp case and amazingly clean and elaborate dial. I bought it here on the forum in December 2022. The original sale listing is here for your reference. I have worn it about a dozen times, so the condition basically presents itself as unchanged. It hardly gets any wrist time lately. Time for somebody else to enjoy this wonderful piece.



Dial: Definitely the star of the watch. The dial is amazingly clean for its age. What stand out are the applied our markers with the interplay of the different shapes, I particular like the domes / dots at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock. The hour and minute hands have slight signs of corrosion, but it's hardly noticeable. The second hand has a red tip.

Case: The eye-catcher are the fancy lugs. The condition of the case is very good, the facets on the lugs are clearly visible. Normal signs of wear such as light scratches here and there, but nothing that detracts. The hidden unsigned crown is original.

Movement: It's powered by cal. 1412U. Just look at the finishing of this movement! The inner life of this watch mirrors the external beauty. I have not had it serviced during my possession, but it runs and keeps time well. Please refer to the original listing for the service history.

Dimensions: 34mm in diameter, 18mm lug width.

Accessories: It comes with the aftermarket BOR bracelet.
