Hi all! Here is for sale is beautiful vintage Omega Constellation 2852-5 SC. Watch is in great condition. According to 15 mil serial number watch is from 1956. For sale is watch only. Case measures 35mm, midcase is stainlees steel, top is goldcapped. Case is unpolished, it has signs of wear but no major scratches or dings. Caseback has Constellation observatory logo and Waterproof inscription. There’s all specific marks on the inner side – Omega logo and ref. number 2852-5 SC. Crown is correct octagonal shape and has Omega logo. Crystal is acrylic, has no blemishes and still has Omega logo engraved in center. Crosshair dial has creamy white color with goldtoned handset and hourmarkes, it has applied Omega logo and Constellation star, Automatic Chronometer Officially Certified and Swiss Made at the bottom. Dial is preserved in perfect condition. Movement is automatic Omega caliber 501 in perfect condition, movement keeps time and runs decent, at the moment of sale watch runs +2 sec/day, please check timegrapher pic in gallery Strap is brand new 18mm brown leather. Watch looks perfect due to it’s classic Constellation shape and perfectly preserved crosshair dial and gold accents combination. Founded at La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland in 1848 by 23-year-old Louis Brandt who assembled key-wound precision pocket watches from parts supplied by local craftsmen. He travelled throughout Europe selling his watches from Italy to Scandinavia by way of England, his chief market. After Louis Brandt's death in 1879, his two sons Louis-Paul and Cesar, troubled by irregular deliveries of questionable quality, abandoned the unsatisfactory assembly workshop system in favour of in-house manufacturing and total production control. Due to the greater supply of manpower, communications and energy in Bienne, the enterprise moved into a small factory in January 1880, then bought the entire building in December. Two years later the company moved into a converted spinning-factory in the Gurzelen district of Bienne, where headquarters are still situated today. Their first series-produced calibres, Labrador and Gurzelen, as well as, the famous Omega calibre of 1894, would ensure the brand's marketing success.
