Hi All. How do I put this? It doesn't exactly bring me joy or pride to be selling this watch. After waiting in line for four days (thankfully not back-to-back), today I was finally told by the Swatch clerk (whom I now know by name) that they were available, but it wasn't the Atlantic or Antarctica that I was after, but the Pacific. I of course bought the piece thinking if I didn't like it, I would just list it here / gift it to a friend. My fiancée was with me, so we bought two. Well, after getting home and looking at it for a few minutes, I've decided that I don't like it. It wasn't even just the color - it's way too thick for me. I probably would be selling the Atlantic if I had gotten it too. I can't think of a single scenario where I would put this over my better watches (which are pretty much all of them) or even over my Uranus. I don't know how to price this. And I'll be honest - this is not exactly a horological masterpiece - it is literally a plastic watch, with a terrible movement (which actually is better/cuter than I thought). Buy it for the hype, I guess? I feel like if I priced it at how much I paid (about $435), it is likely to be snatched up by a flipper who'd sell it for secondary market price (which I think is around 800?) - I learned the lesson after selling my Taylor Swift ticket for $150 before finding out that the same seat later was relisted and sold for $1500. I think I'm going to price/value this at $666 (idk), BUT if you DM me I'll possibly adjust my prices based on your history on this sub (i.e. basically how likely I think you will actually keep and wear this piece). I do want to get more than retail + tax, though, to somewhat compensate for the lost mornings and for the disappointment I've felt being told they were out of stock when I was the third in line... twice.
