For sale is my early 70s compressor-style Ricoh diver. This is a very desirable watch (Google it!) with an in-house 21 jewel automatic movement (R61). Writing on the case back is still legible with a magnifying glass. It reads "OCEAN DIVER - 6177 - ALL STAINLESS STEEL - WATERPROOF - AUTOMATIC" The watch measures approximately 38mm wide without the crowns. It features a rotating inner bezel with a lumed pip, day/date complication with quickset, gorgeous green lume and a lovely lollipop seconds hand. Amazingly, even after over 50 years, the lume still has a little life left in it. This is a very classy watch and there are none available at present on eBay or the watch forums. Kind of cool to know you'll almost certainly never see a copy of your watch on someone else's wrist! Haven't timed it but the watch winds and runs smoothly with a beautiful second-hand sweep. The day and date change over as they should around midnight. Watch comes on a svelte, period correct SS aftermarket bracelet. Given the rarity and the condition, I'm selling this for $300, shipped USPS to CONUS. I'm not a watchmaker or professional watch-seller, so this is an as-is sale.
