This watch not only represents Rolex's remarkable craftsmanship but also its durability and stunning look. It has one of the nicest and cleanest pumpkin dial I have ever seen on a Submariner and 1680. This watch belonged to a member of the Underwater Demolition Team (UDT), someone who wore this watch during his service as per his son. The owner passed away this year and his son passed it along to me. His son found it in one of his military trunks, a ‘yard find’ if you may. Being curious about whether any service was done to the watch, I had it confirmed by multiple independent authenticators and each party concluded that the watch had never been serviced in any form, and the dial never touched. I personally had its scratched “super dome” top hat crystal replaced with the $250 True Dome crystal (some of you in the community may be aware of them) that you can see in the pictures. I also bought a $500 ghost/faded bezel for it, but the OEM insert is also there if the buyer would like to use that. I have also included pictures of the watch with the genuine insert on. **The Watch Details:** \- The Rolex Submariner 1680 watch, 40mm case. \- Mint condition aftermarket bracelet \- Aftermarket bezel/insert (bought for \~$500, very high quality – currently on) \- Genuine faded insert \- Original matte black dial, consistent yellow/orange color on each lume plot \- TrueDome crystal (currently on the watch, looks rad with it on) \- Aftermarket $100 crystal with cyclops \- Original top hat super dome crystal \- Black Olpr. leather band. This company makes the nicest bands, although higher end. \- The watch retains its genuine, untouched charm. Some chipping on the crown is visible. It’s keeping decent time.
