Hey WatchEx! Today I’m selling my SLA051. This watch and the history that precedes it needs no introduction. What you’re getting is a watch with a legendary history, an unbeatable movement (the 8L35 is just a less decorated Grand Seiko movement, and even produced in the Grand Seiko facility in Shizukuishi). This watch is “Near new” because there is the tiniest little hairline scratch next to the crown at the 3 o’clock, one that I’m confident could easily be removed with a Cape Cod cloth should you choose to do so, and some minor desk diving scratches on the clasp. As for the bracelet itself, I’m unable to find any scratches. There are some very minor scratches on the outside of the 5 o’clock lug from strap changes, but even with my 20/15 vision, I have a very difficult time seeing them without holding the watch a few inches from my face. I’ve captured photos of everything described, insofar as making the scratches look as terrible as possible in the photos so that there are no surprises on delivery day. Let me know if you have any questions or need additional photos. Included in the sale are all of the original links, packaging, papers, and hang tags. This was purchased from an AD in Japan and thus includes a Japanese warranty from Seiko. I’m asking $1500 OBO (CONUS only, PayPal F&F or Zelle). This is the best price/value ratio for a Seiko on all of WatchEx — I checked. For a watch that retailed for $3,000 USD, you’re getting one hell of a watch at this price. With the 8L35 movement and beautiful Ziratsu polish, you’re getting a “baby Grand Seiko” for the price of an entry Prospex model.
