For sale are a pair of Victorinox Inox watches. I liked the Inox style but I really wanted a titanium one in an automatic. Victorinox makes the automatic in steel and carbon, but not in titanium. I reached out to them and asked if the dimensions were the same and if I could swap the movements and parts. They told me that it would void the warranty and when I clarified that I was OK with the warranty voided they told me “no.” I remained curious and eventually found both a steel auto and a titanium quartz model and bought both. Well, they mostly fit together, as I suspected. The cases are exactly the same, Victorinox made a plastic spacer for the quartz models (much cheaper than changing the machining on the inside of the case) that fits perfectly in the automatic case. Crowns are exactly the same too. This has a 25 jewel movement though the website says SW-200, maybe its an earlier model that used an ETA? The crown winds smoothly and all functions work on both watches, both crowns fully screw down. The only part that wasn’t a perfect swap were the casebacks. The threads are the same but the automatic movement needs the steel display caseback to accommodate its tiny increase in thickness. You will note also that I swapped the crystals, as I didn't want the red printing to obscure the black waffle dial. Both watches run perfectly and are in good condition. Not sure if the titanium watch is coated with anything but it doesn’t show any signs of wear. The steel case has some scratches on the polished bevels of the bezel, as well as on the bracelet. The bracelet is sized for a 7.25” wrist and includes another half-link and room for microadjust on the clasp. This set also comes with a Victorinox paracord strap ($100 MSRP).
