For sale only, not trades: Grand Seiko SBGT241 9F 25th Anniversary limited edition, high-accuracy quartz. This was made in a limited run of 1500 pieces worldwide. Some special features of the watch:

I am ONLY selling due to a pet medical emergency. Truly my favorite watch I have EVER owned.

· The gold star on the dial, represents the quartz 9F83 movement's accuracy of +/-5 seconds PER YEAR

· Kanji and English day/date functionality

· 18k gold lion emblem on the back side of the case

· GS9F dial pattern. Beautiful light/white silver coloring. Not champagne.

· Beautiful and super-comfortable beads of rice bracelet

· Blued steel seconds hand

This full set includes the original hang tag, guarantee certificate, inner/outer box, instructions, and all bracelet links. The bracelet is currently sized to 7" and includes another 3 links to add (8" total).

The case measures 39mm without the crown, with 44mm lug to lug, and is 10.9mm thick. Lugs are 19mm. It wears like an absolute dream and weighs 104 grams, sized for a 7" wrist. Most comfortable watch I've ever owned.

The company was founded in 1881, when Kintarō Hattori opened a watch and jewelry shop called "K. Hattori" (服部時計店 Hattori Tokeiten?) in the Ginza area of Tokyo, Japan. Eleven years later, in 1892, he began to produce clocks under the name Seikosha (精工舎 Seikōsha?), meaning roughly "House of Exquisite Workmanship". According to Seiko's official company history, titled "A Journey In Time: The Remarkable Story of Seiko" (2003), Seiko is a Japanese word meaning "exquisite" or "success" ("exquisite" is usually written 精巧 from Chinese jīngqiǎo, while the meaning "success" is usually written 成功 from Chinese chénggōng).

Seiko is perhaps best known for its wristwatches, all of which were at one time produced entirely in-house. This includes not only major items such as microgears, motors, hands, crystal oscillators, batteries, sensors, LCDs but also minor items such as the oils used in lubricating the watches and the luminous compounds used on the hands and the dials.
