It sat unworn and in a drawer for many years until I began watch school in August of 2021. I performed a major overhaul on this watch, detailed below: \-Mainplate and barrel bridge bored out and jeweled bearings installed for the barrel arbor \- Jewels added to train bridge for 3rd wheel and 4th wheel (overall jewel count is at 21 jewels) \-Mainplate upgraded to 6015B (movement hacks!) \-Original crown rebuilt and new crown gasket installed \-New case back gasket installed \-New escape wheel and pallet fork \-Original Hardlex crystal replaced with an aftermarket crystal. (original crystal will be included with sale) Case: Case is in good condition, with the age appropriate wear to the sides and top of the case. No major dings or scratches are present, however the casebook does show some marks from where a casebook tool slipped on the caseback Dial & Hands: Dial and hands in this watch were showing some of the “lume rot” known from these vintage divers. Unfortunately this watch did not escape unscathed. The green pip on the seconds hand was relumed, and the “chromed” sections of the hour markers on the dial show some fine scratches from previous (not mine) cleaning attempts. Hour and minute hand are original and un touched as is the lume on the dial. Bezel: The bezel shows some small scratches but is in generally good condition. The pip on the bezel was relumed since the old lume patch was missing. The little plastic lens cover in the bezel is present as is correct for this model.
