Up for sale is a set of vintage IWC Yacht Clubs with caliber 854B. The Yacht Club is a classic cushion case design with nice interplay between the polished bezel and brushing on the rest of the case. This is the original, pre-Gerald Genta design version, one of the last great mechanical watches before the quartz revolution. Some special features of the Yacht Club are the anti-magnetic movement cage, which also has internally bumpers around the side for increased shock absorption (something the IWC 85 series of movements is already very good at). The cases measure 36.15mm wide without crown, 43mm lug to lug, and 12.5mm thick with 18mm lug width. The large dial area and cushion case also make this watch wear larger than the 36mm diamater would initially suggest. Both of these date to approximately 1969 and the case and movement serial numbers align. They are in running condition with all functions working (time setting, hacking, hand winding) and start right up when wound. Detailed service history is unknown, but both do have service markings on the case backs and the internals appear clean.
