The Caravelle Sea Hunter is a close cousin of Bulova’s infamous “Devil Diver” of the same era, these were also advertised with a waterproof rating of 666ft (about 200m). On offer hear is a brilliant example of a vintage Sea Hunter from 1969. It's beefy 37mm case has an excellent wrist presence. The watch was designed in the same mode as the famed Tudor Ranger of the same era. The glossy black is the epitome of elegant minimalism, with arabic numerals at the cardinal points and graceful sword hands. Inside is the signed Caravelle 11DP hand-winding movement. This is an incredibly rugged design (my watchmaker referred to it as "practically bullet-proof"). This one has been serviced recently and is keeping good time. All original (inc. signed crown),unrevised and unpolished. As you can see from the pics, the watch is in excellent condition. The original lume has developed a warm, buttery patina that complements the deep black of the dial. The Sea Hunter is a new favourite among collectors who recognize good value and quality construction when they see it. Examples in this condition won't be around at reasonable prices for much longer. Watch comes on a new premium rubber diver's strap (20mm lugs), as pictured. **$975**, these go for between $1000-1200 typically, but looking for a quick and happy sale to cover a recent purchase!
