It has the same awesome purposeful dive watch case, helium escape value, insane 500m WR, great bezel feel, and fully lumed ceramic bezel of all the others, but it swaps the ronda quartz movement that's used for most of the D1-500 series for a high beat, hassle-free miyota 9015 automatic. It also gains a really lovely grey dial with matching chapter ring and red/black accents that's unique to this sold out limited edition. Gets more of a marathon GSAR vibe as a result, although the pilot's hands and sub-style dial seem more unimatic-ish to me. Like the marathon, it's a bit thick (about 15.5mm), but it wears noticeably thinner. Case is all stainless steel, with an easy-to-grip and nicely sized screw-down crown that's signed with BD-1 - unique to this LE. Solid engraved caseback. Heavy application of swiss BGW9 blue lume on the dial and handset. The ceramic bezel insert has matching lume. Watch measures 43 x 50mm, with 22mm lugs. The lugs have really significant downturn to them - it wears comfortably on my 6.5" wrist. Watch is sitting on it's OEM fitted genuine rubber dive strap, which is signed with the model name and has matching brushed hardware. The watch is topped off with a double dome sapphire crystal with inner AR. Watch comes with the scrufa dive container box. **Condition** Minor desk diving marks on the sides of the case and one of the lugs. Strap shows some wear. All mechanical functions work as expected. Movement is running well within spec, according to my timegrapher.
