After several years of hunting down a Marvin Flying Dutchman, in 2020 I ended up with two.
Now as a I trim down and refocus my collection to be more about the watches I wear rather than the ones that live in boxes, I have decided to let them both go.
This is the first - a Marvin Flying Dutchman Autodate, with the in-house 580 calibre.
The second can be found here.
This one has a CP stamp on the rotor, which I understand means Calendar Precision. It is a 25 jewel movement adjusted to 3 positions.
The case is full stainless steel. Approximately 33mm (without the crown) by 42mm, with 18mm lugs.
It has the original signed Marvin Crown
The crystal is a later replacement (it would have had a date magnifier from the factory)
As can be seen in the photos, there is some damage/wear patina to the dial.
The case is nice and sharp, but shows clear signs of use over the last 60+ years (see pictures).
Service history is unknown - I bought this from an Israeli dealer and it showed up covered in wrist cheese... so let's assume it's not seen a watchmaker in recent history - but it is running and keeping team fairly well. I would recommend a service if you plan to wear it and arrive at things on time.
Asking £250 plus postage - which takes into account the condition vs. these being relatively hard to find now.
Watch is located in London, UK.
Please ask if you have any questions.
