[Timestamp](https://i.imgur.com/7eBTiJj.jpg) Up for sale is this beautiful custom-built Seiko DressKX with a charcoal grey Japanese seigaiha waves pattern dial. I purchased this watch several months ago from another watchexchange user, but unfortunately I never really got around to wearing it. The case was used for previous build, but shows no obvious signs of wear. The crystal, bracelet, movement, and dial were all brand new at the time of purchase. The NH35 movement was said to be running about 7s/day at the time of build (according to the builder of this watch), which seems accurate to me. Specs: * 38mm case, 45mm L2L, 20mm lugs * 11.5mm thick * Grey Seigaiha Dial w/ BGW9 Lume (Watch Modz) * Diver's handset with BGW9 Lume (DIY watch club) * Seiko Hardlex Crystal * Gasketed screw-down crown * Solid, slim screw-down caseback (Tokeilab) * Seiko NH35 movement - hacks and handwinds, quickset date function * OEM Seiko DressKX bracelet (currently sized for my 6.75" wrist, includes 4 additional links) Price: $150 obo shipped to CONUS. The company was founded in 1881, when Kintarō Hattori opened a watch and jewelry shop called "K. Hattori" (服部時計店 Hattori Tokeiten?) in the Ginza area of Tokyo, Japan. Eleven years later, in 1892, he began to produce clocks under the name Seikosha (精工舎 Seikōsha?), meaning roughly "House of Exquisite Workmanship". According to Seiko's official company history, titled "A Journey In Time: The Remarkable Story of Seiko" (2003), Seiko is a Japanese word meaning "exquisite" or "success" ("exquisite" is usually written 精巧 from Chinese jīngqiǎo, while the meaning "success" is usually written 成功 from Chinese chénggōng).

Seiko is perhaps best known for its wristwatches, all of which were at one time produced entirely in-house. This includes not only major items such as microgears, motors, hands, crystal oscillators, batteries, sensors, LCDs but also minor items such as the oils used in lubricating the watches and the luminous compounds used on the hands and the dials.
